Lola Young, the English singer known for her hit „Messy,“ fainted shortly after taking the stage at the All Things Go Music festival in New York on Saturday. The incident occurred while she was performing her song „Conceited,“ at which point she lost consciousness and was immediately taken backstage for medical assistance.
About an hour later, Young alleviated the concerns of her worried fans through an update on Instagram, stating, „I“m okay now. Thank you for all the support.“ The day before this performance, she had canceled another concert due to personal reasons.
At just 24 years old, Young has openly discussed her struggles with addiction in recent months. In a recent interview with The Guardian, she expressed gratitude for the support she has received during this challenging journey.
